Hello folks im new to the forum and have found out the hard way that my front lower control arm mounts on my '98 tj dont hold up well under heavy impact. i was wondering if there was any one out there that could explain to me how to re-align an axle. i bought new brackets and i can burn a strong weld but... the straightening out thing escapes me. its probably simple i would be stoked on any advice that got thrown my way. thanks.

I'm sure someone will be along shortly to help with proper dimensions, but when you're welding the brackets back on, be careful not to weld too long in a close area or you may warp the axle tube with the excess heat. Run a bead on one bracket, then move to the other side, then let it cool some. I've personally never welded anything on an axle, but it's just a thought.

yeah the location of the brackets isnt the prob. im concerned about ensuring that my axle lines back up. as of now its off caster
